What is HealtheChildren?

HealtheChildren is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being of children in developing countries.

Our guiding principles are in accord with United Nations Convention on Children's Rights which recognizes, "that children not only deserve the same rights as adults, but that children, because of their vulnerability, need special care and assistance."

Our Mission at HealtheChildren is to develop practical models of children's health, education and vocational training that to allow every child in emerging countries to achieve their true potential. These model programs function independently of local governments, and are not a form of long-term foreign aid.
